Hyundai Development Company, in celebration of Family Month,
continued its philanthropic efforts by conducting a heartfelt donation event on
the 12th of the month to assist underprivileged neighbors in the Nonsan region.
On the 12th, a donation ceremony for rice, meant to aid the
underprivileged residents of the Nonsan area, took place at the Nonsan City
Hall. Attending the event were Kim Jong-min, a member of the National Assembly,
Baek Seong-hyun, the Mayor of Nonsan, Park Kang-hee, the Chairman of the Nonsan
City Social Welfare Council, Shin Wang-seob, the Director of Hyundai
Development Company, and other officials. The 5-ton rice donation presented
during this occasion will be utilized to support the livelihoods of
underprivileged neighbors residing within Nonsan City.
Chairman Park Kang-hee of the Nonsan City Social Welfare
Council expressed sincere gratitude, stating, "On the occasion of Family
Month, I extend heartfelt thanks to Hyundai Development Company for their
donation to support underprivileged neighbors in the Nonsan area." He
added, "The rice donated this time will significantly assist the lives of
local residents."
A representative from Hyundai Development Company remarked,
"Through this rice donation within the Nonsan City area, we hope to
provide assistance to underprivileged neighbors. We will continue our support
activities for neighbors in need throughout communities nationwide."
Meanwhile, starting from January of this year, Hyundai
Development Company has been engaged in various philanthropic activities aimed
at fulfilling its social responsibilities and promoting mutual growth with
local communities. These activities include delivering groceries and life
bracelets to vulnerable senior citizens in the Gwangju area, supplying
firefighting equipment to Gwangju-area rescue workers, providing funds and
essential items for those affected by the Gangnam-gu Guryong Village fire
incident, participating in Han River cleanup activities near Banpo, tree
planting efforts in the Yongsan area, emergency aid for the Gangneung forest
fire victims, volunteering at the Geoje Love and Affection Temple, and rice
donations to commemorate Parents' Day.
