HDC Group (Chairman Chung Mong-gyu) is conducting regular
executive appointments and organizational restructuring in 2023. This round of
appointments and restructuring aims to strengthen market trust and future
preparedness in the face of uncertain business environments. The focus is on
selecting leaders based on performance and capabilities, fostering dynamic
changes, and creating new business opportunities. HDC Group plans to enhance
the resort and hotel sector, foster new AI and data-based ventures, and venture
into the energy sector.
Hyundai Development Company (HDC) is undergoing
organizational restructuring to restore trust and enhance future preparedness.
HDC has presented a vision for the complex development projects of the group,
established the H1 Business Team for the successful execution of the Gwangwoon
University Station area development project, and formed the A1 Project Team
directly under the CEO's office for responsible construction of Hwajung I-Park.
Additionally, to drive innovation in organizational culture, the Corporate
Culture Innovation Office has been established, and a Design Team has been
formed to enhance design and R&D capabilities. HDC aims to rigorously
manage the performance indicators of the Construction Division and CSO
(Customer Service Organization) to strengthen quality and safety capabilities.
The company also aims to enhance overall strategic planning capabilities in
management and sales departments to respond to rapidly changing environmental
circumstances.
Furthermore, HDC Group has appointed the following
individuals to key positions: ▲ Kim Hoe-eon, CEO of Hyundai Development Company
▲ Lee Sung-Yong, CEO of Hotel HDC ▲ Cho Young-Hwan, CEO of HDC Resort, as Vice
Presidents; ▲ Lee Heung-Bok, CEO of Tongyeong EcoPower, as an Executive
Director; ▲ Jo Heung-Bong, CEO of Seoul-Chuncheon Expressway, ▲ Kim Jung-Seop,
CEO of Bukhang I-Bridge, as Senior Executive Directors. Additionally,
appointments have been made for ▲ Kim Hee-Bang, CEO of Real Estate 114 ▲ Lee
Jong-Won, CEO of Masan I-Port. These appointments total 24 individuals and will
be effective as of January 9th.
Kim Hee-Bang, the newly appointed CEO of Real Estate 114,
joined Hyundai Development Company in 1999 and has held various positions
including HR Innovation Team Leader, Public Relations and Marketing Team
Leader, and Director of Future Innovation. Since 2020, he has been serving as
the head of Management Innovation at HDC Labs (formerly HDC Icon Controls), and
from 2022, he has also taken on the role of BM Innovation Division Chief. Kim
Hee-Bang also concurrently serves as the BM Innovation Division Chief at HDC
Labs. Lee Jong-Won, the newly appointed CEO of Masan I-Port, joined Hyundai
Development Company in 2005 and has extensive experience in the development and
management of infrastructure projects, having been involved in projects such as
Masan Port Development and Busan New Port Phases 2-4.
